For Astro Turf Florida Is Worth Visiting

By Kevin Bailey

Synthetic grass is almost the same as regular grass but the only difference is that they are manufactured and then sold to consumers. Normally, the product comes in a wide range of colors since it is possible for the manufacturer to manufacture synthetic turf of any color. Synthetic grass is commonly made green in color because it is essential to make it resemble natural grass. When in search of Astro Turf Florida should be given priority.

About the blades of the product, their height can be varied too. There may be variation in height of the blades based on the use of the turf. For example, the height of the blades of products to be used in soccer pitches may differ from products used in a private yard or golf field.

The number of blade shapes was previously inadequate but as time goes by a number of different blade shapes have been invented. There are several blade shapes in the market currently including diamond de-lustered, vista, oval, flattened oval with spine, 3DW, omega, M shaped and mini W fibers. Each of these shapes has a different use. When the shapes are set up on a lawn, they offer varying results depending with the shape.

Oval shaped blades are commonly used on products that are installed on landscapes. The oval fibers produce a soft feeling and touch, but maintain durability. The diamond de-lustered shape helps blades to produce a soft but studier feeling. Products with these blades are usually suitable for installation on both residential and commercial landscapes. Omega blades are installed in pet turfs and they usually come in short heights.

There was no thatch layer in initial synthetic turfs. The thatch was added due to the need to make the turf appear better and produce softer feeling. Around nine years back is when this invention was done. With that, the synthetic grass industry was revolutionized. Different materials like nylon, polypropylene and polyethylene are normally used in making the thatch. In the event of intensive sports games, thatch assists in blade recovery too.

Blades are commonly attached to a backing by the use of a bonding agent or through other means. Support and strength for the blades is offered by the backing as well making sure it is durable. Throughout the years, development of adhesives suitable for this task has been on going. Materials used to make backings have the ability to hold an adhesive satisfactorily. Urethane and latex are the most frequently used materials in making backings.

Products made earlier had various limitations such as fading with time. Exposure to UV radiation from the sun leads to its fading. On the other hand, with technological advancement it is possible for these commodities to retain their color for a long time when coated with Ultraviolet radiation inhibitors.

The incorporation of UV inhibitors is done within the yarn process. The product can still be capable of retaining the color irrespective of the kind of conditions it is exposed to. About 10 to 15 years is the duration the product can hold its color.
