How To Install A Lawn By Using Fake Grass

Artificial grasses offer a wide range of benefits over other mother natures alternatives. It does not require any fertilizer or any specific caring treatment to maintain its look and style. It will stay healthy no matter what the season is and does not require mowing when the time comes for summer. It is relatively quick and easy to maintain. Simple upkeeping has to be done regularly and cleaning up any spill at the surface is easy as well. Cut the lawn where it is necessary. Use a utility knife or a sharp cutter to slice open the turf from underside and shape the whole area. For slicing long cuts, cut small distances at a time and compare all the edges if there are no gaps visible. Drawing a marker from the back will let you guide where to cut and slice.

Grade the base. To smoothen out the materials that was used in the base, use a landscaping rake. The rake will level out the surfaces and even out the ground. You can also use a string, ruler or bubble level to completely flatten out the surfaces. Make sure that the surface is flatten out before adding the next layers.

Seam the strips together. There are many ways to join together the strips on synthetic turfs. Make sure to choose the same products by the same company when buying it. Do not attempt to purchase another company when products when the turf is from another company. The specific designs will not be matched and may cause it to look uncool.

Plan the drainage system. Installations with draining the soil will provide issues with the drainage. The artificial grasses must be permeable to liquids like water and the bases must have an additional layer to drain the water. If no drainage is found near the lawns, construct a system before continuing the process.

It will need more compaction if the surface is not yet smooth band firm. If the surfaces are lower than anticipated, pour in more layer and make it compact as well. This will make sure that it will remain flat and the artificial grass and the surrounding areas will flatten out as well.

Brush the surface by using a rake or a broom. Brushing the surface often will keep the blades of grass pointing upwards and make a natural look. The broom and brush must have soft bristles.
