Advantages Of Using Fertilizer And Lime Spreader

By Kathleen Cox

Due to an evolution of technology, a lot of the manual labour seems to be disappearing thus introduction of new methods. The agricultural front has gone from people tilling the land, to have ox-drawn ploughs to having machinery such as tractors. Apart from land tilling, planting and distribution of manure can be done using a fertilizer and lime spreader.

The first benefit is the uniform application of the fertilizer in the whole area. This allows growth to be also uniform. This machine is able to control and spread out the exact amount of fertilizer in all the spots. This prevents under and over the application. The two can lead both bare patches and burning of the roots and clumps respectively.

There is the option of choosing the model you want. You get to choose according to how much use you plan to get out of it, the cost and the size of land. Luckily there is one for every size of land. For a small lawn, it would be advisable to go for a hand-held propagator, for a medium piece of land, drop spreaders are best while for larger pieces of land a broadcast spreader is best.

Fertilizer is mostly made from chemicals. Therefore, it will be a health hazard if it came in direct contact with your skin. You may decide to be creative and improvise a can into a spreader but it is not very safe. To avoid any kind of complication, it would be best for you to invest in a propagator to ensure that both you and your family are safe.

Time is a resource that none of us ever has quite enough of. Therefore, we tend to salvage as much of it as possible. With the manure propagator, you no longer have to worry about the amount of time you will spend on the activity. All you have to do is to set the machine according to your specifications and by the end of the day, your land will be equally fertile.

When we buy items, we feel more content if we can use them for different purposes. For example, when you buy a spoon, you can use it to eat soup and to eat porridge. The same way, the propagator can be used to not only fertilize the seeds but to plant them too. It also comes into use during the winter in spreading salt all-over the areas where the snow is unwanted.

The one thing we all want to do is to save money. Using the propagator gives you a chance at this. The machine does not over-do or under-do the spreading so the amount you buy should be enough. Doing it manually may cost you a lot of manure and if wrongfully done, the crops end up destroyed or the lawn unattractive.

For farmers, the spreaders save them a lot from irreversible damage. The compost is properly and evenly spread out and therefore, the crop yields are bound to improve. This helps in the profitability and the satiation of the population that seems to grow up every year. It also curbs the effects of climate change.
